Lodging
Our hotel in Salzburg, The Hotel Himmelreich (https://www.hotel-himmelreich.at/de/) is wonderful, though it doesn't have air conditioning, which is generally a must for me, though in this case, due to the storm fronts moving through the area the temperature is quite cool, with a relaxing gentle breeze. My room is on the second floor and has a balcony overlooking the mountains. The Himmelreich also has a full buffet breakfast for guests, which I am looking forward to partaking of tomorrow morning before the wedding. The pictures are of the hotel, grounds, my room and the beautiful view!
Die Gersberg Alm
I really enjoyed the mountain lodge, it had a really nice view and was a lovely setting for the reception. The pictures that follow are of the hotel and grounds, including the outdoor sitting area where the reception had taken place. As they had professional photographers present I didn't take any pictures during the reception. The lodge itself was first constructed in the 1800's and does have an ample supply of old world charm. The restaurant was also very nice, they serve a terrific breakfast, but alas, no grits and biscuits.
